I am an Assistant Professor at Arizona State University in the Department of Psychology. I study how attention, learning, and language experience affect how infants, children, and adults learn words, track statistical patterns, and learn to attend.

I completed a postdoc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison working with Jenny Saffran, and I completed my Ph.D. at Indiana University in Developmental Psychology working with Linda B. Smith. I obtained a B.S. in Psychology at the University of Houston after completing an A.A. from San Jacinto Community College.
I am a proud daughter of immigrant parents, first generation college graduate, and am bilingual in English and Spanish. I care a lot about equity and inclusion within science and academia. You can learn more about my story here and here.
